Our Beliefs
This is a summary of our beliefs taken from our
Brief Statement of Faith.
There is more information on our beliefs in our
Confessions
section.
We believe that in life and in death we belong to God.
We trust in Jesus Christ.
We trust in God.
We trust in God the Holy Spirit.
And, with believers in every time and place, we rejoice that nothing in life or in death
can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Matthew 22: 37-40
37
Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul,
and with all your mind.'
38
This is the first and great commandment.
39
And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
40
On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."
Our Mission
To tell the "Good News" of salvation by the grace of God through
faith in Jesus Christ as the only Savior and Lord.
To praise God with Word, music and the celebration of the Sacraments.
To be a caring, supportive family of believers serving the Lord while serving
the children, the elderly, the troubled, the sick, and others who have needs
throughout the church and community.
To teach the Word of God to children and adults so that we may together
grow in understanding Jesus Christ and His Ministry.
To encourage our members to actively participate in the programs, the fellowship
and the financial obligations of our church through a responsible sharing
of our time, talents and treasures.
Matthew 28:18-20
18
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me
in heaven and on earth.
19
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20
teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with
you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
19
Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music
in your heart to the Lord,
20
always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
