Hospital Visitation—Help!
If you are admitted to the hospital or emergency room, please call the pastor. If I am not home, leave the information and I will get it. Also be sure to tell them at the admissions that you are a member of Derry Presbyterian Church. This is extremely important. With the privacy laws, if you do not tell them the name of your church, they will not contact me and I have no way of finding out that you are in the hospital. If you are admitted on the weekend, please call me at home. I work weekends but the hospitals do not contact me on the weekend. I have missed a couple of members because by the time the hospital contacted me on Monday, the patient was already discharged. So please help me to help you by letting me know you are in the hospital. This is not an inconvenience for me. This is my job. Thanks, Helen…..
